You won't just have a lesson each week and then be left to figure out what to do next. I'll be actively involved in your development throughout the week — helping you decide what to practise, reviewing your playing, giving you feedback and adjusting your plan as you progress.

Rather than working through a generic syllabus, we'll build your own.

Know exactly what to practice every week

One of the biggest problems with learning guitar is not knowing what to work on next.

With Private Coaching, you won't have to guess.

Each week I'll give you a personalised practice plan based on your goals, your progress and the things we've been working on.

You'll know:

And as you improve, I'll adjust the plan.

Show me your playing. I'll show you what to work on.

You can send me videos of your playing between sessions.

It could be a technique you're struggling with, a song you're learning, an exercise from your practice plan, or something you've been working on and want feedback on.

I'll watch it and give you specific feedback on what you're doing well, what needs improving and what I'd like you to work on next.

You don't have to wait until our next lesson to ask for help.

Songs Become Your Training Ground

I don't want you learning songs simply to tick them off a list.

I'll help you choose songs that develop the skills you're currently working on.

For example:

"We're learning this song because I want you to hear chord movement."

Or:

"This one is going to develop your fingerstyle."

Or:

"Don't look up the chords. Let's see if you can figure this one out yourself."

Your song choices become part of your education.

Feedback Between Sessions

Sometimes the thing you're working on won't wait until next week's session.

You can send me a short video or recording of your playing when you need feedback.

I'll tell you:

• What's going wrong

• What to change

• What to practice

So you're not spending a whole week practicing something incorrectly.

You'll have private messaging support throughout the programme.

I'll set clear response expectations so that you have support without needing to wait for our next session.

We're Going Somewhere

This isn't 52 disconnected guitar lessons.

At the beginning, we'll establish where you are now, where you want to get to and what is currently holding you back.

From there, we'll build your personal Guitar Development Plan.

Your weekly practice plans will then move you through that bigger picture step by step.

The aim is that after 12 months, you're not simply able to play more songs.

You're a more capable, confident and independent musician.
